"Known Problems & Downtime" Web Page

On Sunday a student called with an IT-related problem. She was not able to open articles in PDF from Elsevier ScienceDirect, using the Safari browser on a Mac. When I sent a query about the problem on the E-Research comment form, Amber Meryman replied: "This is a 'Known Problem' of sorts with the recent interface enhancement to ScienceDirect. I have added a note to the Known Problems iSite with some suggested
workarounds."

Amber's note reminded me that the "Known Problems" page is a good place to check when users come to us with E-Resource problems. You can reach it via any of the "Comment" links on the HUL portal or E-Research.
