They've reared their ugly heads again, this morning, with a request for Sweeney Todd. The particular version the patron needed appeared in the catalog as "Master Microfilms" and was not otherwise listed as available in HOLLIS.
A call to Imaging Services confirmed that the item could be reproduced (at a cost, of course). Turn-around time is typically 5-10 working days. Patrons who go this route should be directed to the Imaging Services office in Widener, Room G-81.
However: there's a better, cost-effective option for students and FAS affiliates: ILL.
I confirmed that non-circulating items, like Master Microfilms, can be ordered this way.

This is the clearest information I've had yet about what to say to patrons about the Master Microfilm location. The "i" icon for that location leads to an empty web page. (I suggested once through the HOLLIS comment line that the "i" should lead to real information, but got no reply.) It's especially helpful to know that most patrons can request copies of these items through ILL.
